Bill & Norma McKnight

Spanish Enrichment® is locally owned and managed by Bill and Norma McKnight. Bill grew up as an American citizen with a Colombian mother. At an early age, after his father passed away in Vietnam, he went to South America were he finished high school and college. While in Colombia he studied linguistics and directed the second largest English Institute in Colombia, this is where Bill and Norma met. Norma, a native from Colombia who comes from a family of writers and journalists was just beginning her journey with the English language. After studying Advertising and Marketing, Bill and Norma got married and decided to move to the United States in 1985. Later, she became an American Citizen by privilege. They lived in Orlando, Florida for 11 years and moved with their family to Denver, Colorado in l996. Norma continued to learn English on her own and experienced the difficulties of learning a new language as an adult. Bill and Norma decided initially to create a pilot Spanish program to expose children before the age of 12 to the Spanish language and culture (which according to experts is the perfect age to become exposed to a second language). Subsequently, they found the need to expand and design new programs for adults, businesses and the community in general using Bill’s and Norma’s expertise. Because Spanish Enrichment® employs all professional spanish speaking instructors who all have college experience and/or degrees, their program is extremely authentic. Study books and worksheets are specific to Spanish Enrichment® and have been developed exclusively by Bill and Norma McKnight.
